Cria #2 was born this morning
We went out to do our chores this morning and found another surprise. Bella had given birth to a female cria. The cria was already running around in the pen. Bella (mommy) usually gives birth around noon. I guess she decided to have the baby during the cool hours of the morning. Here are some pictures of the new cria. I also have a couple of videos posted to YouTube of the latest cria. Now we have to name them. Any suggestions?

Congrats on your cria!!! I love a morning baby surprise.
ReplyDeleteWe had one deliver overnight, first time that has ever happened to us. I do think the hot weather has had it's effect, and these cria are coming when it's safest.
Thank You. Yes, I agree that the hot weather is having an effect on the time of day for the births. The other cria was also born in the am, most likely during a thunderstorm.
DeleteThey are so sweet and tiny! What about flower names? Petunia, Lily, Rose, Chrysanthemum, Daisy, Violet, Poppy, Lilac, Sweet Pea. Unless you have a theme going for your girl names. I noticed you kind of did for your boys.
ReplyDeleteGood Idea about the flowers. Our naming theme is Disney names. The alpacas that do not have Disney names were animals that we purchased and were already named. I was thinking that Pocahontas little girl could be called Rapunzel?
DeleteMinnie! I like Rapunzel and Pocahontas too. Aurora...Tiana is the newest princess from the Princess and the Frog.
ReplyDeleteI forgot about poor Minnie! I like it.
